Safety and Operating Model
A daytime support service
Rosalie Rendu Safe Place is being designed to provide a private, supportive environment where women and their children can access assistance, backed by Hutt St Centre’s specialist expertise.
Safe and managed access
Rosalie Rendu Safe Place will operate under a structured service model designed to support the safety and wellbeing of clients, staff, volunteers, and the surrounding community.
This will include:
- controlled entry to the centre;
- managed occupancy limits;
- appointments or staggered access where appropriate;
- clear behavioural expectations;
- active case management and support planning;
- and safety and security measures to support staff and clients
Women will also have the choice of accessing either Rosalie Rendu Safe Place or Hutt St Centre’s existing Wellbeing Centre, depending on which environment best suits their needs.
Backed by Hutt St Centre’s experience
Hutt St Centre has supported South Australians experiencing homelessness for more than 70 years. Rosalie Rendu Safe Place will draw on this experience, alongside established partnerships, referral pathways, governance systems and operational practices.
This foundation will help women access coordinated support to improve their safety, wellbeing and housing outcomes.
