Community Newsletter – February 2026

As South Australians prepare to vote on 21 March, Hutt St Centre is calling on every candidate to commit to meaningful action on homelessness. With record numbers of people seeking meals and support at our Wellbeing Centre, the need for increased, sustainable investment in homelessness services has never been clearer.

This month, we launched Hear Us Out: A Pathway to Homefulness, our 2026 State Election platform. Grounded in frontline experience and shaped by people impacted by homelessness, it outlines practical steps to expand social and affordable housing, prevent evictions, increase emergency accommodation, address system gaps, and secure long-term funding for services.

At the heart of this advocacy is our Hear Us Out campaign, which creates space for people with lived experience to speak directly to decision-makers. Their stories remind us that behind every statistic is a person seeking stability, dignity and a place to call home.
