Meet Hutt St Hero, Hazel
Meet six-year-old Hazel – an amazing young supporter who’s doing her bit to help people experiencing homelessness in Adelaide!
Here’s the heartwarming message we received from Hazel’s mum:
“My daughter, Hazel, has been relentlessly pleading with me for weeks to help her set up a stall out the front of our house to sell her paintings. She wanted to raise money for homeless people.
So last weekend she sat down and painted, and we looked at charities she could raise money for. She chose Hutt St Centre and together we set up her stall out the front of our house.
While she didn’t get much notice sitting outside, she had lots of positive feedback and people asking to buy her paintings when I shared the photos on Facebook.
We are happy to report, she has now sold all her paintings and people are even placing orders!"
So far, this talented entrepreneur has raised over $100, which is no small feat at $1 per painting. When we asked Hazel why she wanted to do this, her answer was simple but clear: "I just want to help people."
