Welcoming our new Ambassador, Henry Hunt
We’re excited to share that Adelaide Strikers opening batter, Henry Hunt, is now a Hutt St Centre Ambassador!
Henry grew up in Grenfell – a town of just 2,000 people in rural New South Wales. After high school, Henry’s dream of becoming a cricketer led him to Canberra, Sydney and, at last, Adelaide. Now Henry has found his place with the Strikers and the West End Redbacks, while also pursuing a Bachelor of Business Management.
Over the past two seasons, Henry has become a mainstay of the Redbacks team, opening the batting and scoring four centuries for SA. He was also selected in an Australia A squad to take on the England Lions in December and, this month, made his Twenty20 debut for the Adelaide Strikers in the 2021–22 Big Bash League season.
Henry has been volunteering at Hutt St Centre for the past year, helping prepare and serve meals for people at risk of or experiencing homelessness in his newly adopted city of Adelaide.
“I reached out to volunteer at Hutt St Centre in a mission to use some of my free time to give back to people who are experiencing homelessness,” Henry says.
“Now as an Ambassador, I hope to continue sharing awareness and helping to walk alongside people on their journey to homefulness.”
Please join us in welcoming Henry to the Hutt St Centre squad!
