Something different for Christmas

You may have noticed our Christmas appeal looks a little different this year. We wanted to share how Christmas really is for the people who come to Hutt St Centre. This year we shared Ray’s story. This is just one man’s story, but it reflects many other tragic downfalls into homelessness. Every day we listen to these stories and we offer compassion and help. Sometimes it’s tempting to question why a person is homeless. By sharing Ray’s personal life experiences, we hope to foster support and understanding about how loss and sadness can shape a person’s life.

Ray was incredibly generous and courageous to share his persona l story, one that doesn’t end here. We hope this is a Christmas for Ray to remember with a smile.
